Don’t Send Me a Cheque I’m Just An Affiliate

I was a bit shocked this week to receive a cheque in the post from E&L insurance why? you might ask, well I am joined up to their affiliate program and do make a few sales from their pet insurance & horse insurance links but this cheque was not made payable to me, I thought it must have been a mistake at first and sent to the wrong affiliate marketer but when I read the letter attached it turns out the cheque was not a commission payment but was for a cancelled insurance policy and because I had referred the customer from my site E&L decided to sent it to me rather than refunding the policy holder direct.
I emailed the E&L broker department stating petinsure.co.uk was a affiliate marketing website and that I don’t hold any customer details myself, but have yet to hear back from them.
